More writing to come…

Today I volunteered at the Maine Opioid Response Summit. It was full of passion, full of recovery, and full of community. What I saw today wasn’t just recovery among my peers, but advancement of myself over the past few years. Six years ago I wouldn’t have gone to the Summit let alone stay the entire day. I wouldn’t have walked up to people I’d never met and say thank you and (threaten them) with more writing. Threaten you with more writing. I hope to make a difference. I hope to be a reason someone ventures into recovery. I hope to help various organizations destigmatize the response to folks suffering from substance abuse disorders.
